In 2005 I teamed up with a physics student on a summer project. The student was an old friend from high-school and the project was to research the application of thermoelectric modules for reducing inflammation caused by injury. The project was very successful and after many late nights and long hours we handed in a comprehensive report of our findings as well as a prototype of the device.

We received the great honor of being granted the Icelandic Presidential Award for our project which was presented by the president of Iceland himself.

The project got quite a lot of attention and were interviewed for a couple of radio show television shows including a cooking show (we made noodles :)
